Timothy Young is a seasoned Lean Six Sigma, Project Management and Operations Management instructor and professor.
Tim spent over 15 years delivering, managing and mentoring exceptional process improvement results at organizations including CapitalOne Financial Corporation, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson's biopharmaceutical division, and Guardian Life Insurance Company. He has extensive experience designing and delivering Lean Six Sigma and Project Management training materials and curricula for those companies and Drexel University, where as an adjunct he received the Samuel Mercer Jr. Teaching Award, recognizing a faculty member for outstanding achievement in instruction within the Division of Lifelong Learning.
Tim earned a BA in Economics and International Business and an MBA with a concentration in Management Science/Operations Management from Temple University. After working for the companies mentioned above, he returned to Temple as a full time professor in the Fox School of Business. He teaches and preaches the blending of continuous improvement and project management skills and tools. On a personal note, Tim says his most prestigious recognition is the Ducktorate Degree he received from Walt Disney World.
